Article Response #1
Reading through this article, I found myself re-reading a lot of it because I got distracted with many things and thoughts running through my head. And that's kind of what my article response is about. Our brains do not function like they did for people that lived without internet, I believe that they were smarter, and had to know how to do things without something being there to answer all of the questions, like we have now. We don't need much now, all we really believe we need now is internet, and how the world has become such a different place. Maybe some in a good way, but I can see how it got out of hand in a lot of ways too. You can't believe everything that you see on the internet, and for some people that's a myth. Although I did need to re-read through this several times, I did make mental notes of  information that was said throughout.
I believe that this articles main focus was on the difference between people who read information and stories off the internet, versus the people that actually pick up a newspaper or a book and read it. I think that it is easier to lose focus when you are reading off the internet. there are many many things that you could get distracted by, since there is so much to the internet, its endless. Actually sitting down and reading a book is a simpler and more thorough path, that can get more correct and accurate information.
"The mind is "very plastic."" According to James Olds, "Nerve cells routinely break old connections and form new ones. The brain has the ability to reprogram itself on a fly, altering the way it functions."
I think that the human body in general is very interesting. All the strings and cords attached, are all necessities for life. As humans, we don't completely understand how complex and amazing our bodies are. To a lot of people, the internet has a lot to do with the way our bodies function. I think that the internet makes our brain believe things, so our bodies react to it, even if it isn't true, we still want it to be true. Our brain controls our body, and if the internet starts controlling our brain, we wont know what to do with our bodies any more.
So no, I don't thing "Google" in is making us stupid, I think that its the internet in
general.
